None of the latter outcomes are desirable. What is desirable is detecting the decay as soon as possible with the laser, then removing it with air abrasion. That is the most minimally invasive dental treatment that we can do for decay.

Now, lets address the other concerns.....time and money.

Many types of bacteria multiply there and can cause the blood vessels in the surrounding gum tissue to swell and become leaky. Those bacteria can then enter the blood stream and travel to other parts of the body such as the heart and major arteries where they can cause inflammation and damage.
